Services & Price Structure

Knowing that you want to make changes in your life can be overwhelming. In our first session, you will share your concerns with me. In turn, I will share how psychotherapy can help, and how we might work together towards a common goal.

In order to ensure privacy and quality of care, I do not bill any insurance directly. Depending on your insurance plan you may be able to request out-of-network reimbursement from your carrier. Should you choose to do so, I am happy to provide the necessary receipts.

Individual Counseling

Feeling Better About Yourself

I specialize in working with people who are struggling with depression, grief and loss, personal growth, self-understanding, relationship and parenting issues.

I use a variety of therapeutic techniques and theories to help clients feel better about themselves and their relationships. Therapy all by itself cannot change a person or a situation. The process of psychotherapy helps individuals connect with strengths that enable them to make positive changes in their lives.

Couples Counseling

The Path to Intimacy

By helping each partner understand the obstacles to intimacy, the process of psychotherapy can lead to greater understanding of how you get along and where you get stuck. This understanding often leads to behavior changes that allow partners to enjoy each other more.

In the Face of Infidelity

Recovery after an affair requires management of many feelings at once. Feelings of grief, anger, loss of trust and guilt are natural.  In couples’ counseling, the goal is to channel the expression of those feelings to promote recovery and positive change. Through the process of psychotherapy, partners rediscover common ground and the possibility of moving forward with a deeper sense of intimacy and trust than previously shared.

Couples

Divorce & Co-Parenting

When a Marriage Dissolves

Divorce initiates change in all areas of one’s life. Couples can experience significant financial, emotional, social and geographical change during and after divorce. Psychotherapy can be helpful to each partner in easing the experience of grief.

Trying to manage all of these changes, while grieving the loss of the marriage, is especially difficult when parents want to create a smooth transition for their children. Sharing one’s experience with a therapist can accelerate the recovery process stemming from the feelings of loss when a marriage ends.

Getting to the Business of Parenting

For parents it is often helpful to come together in the business of parenting. Co-parenting after divorce requires setting aside feelings towards one’s ex-spouse and establishing a business-like relationship focused on the child’s best interests. Children are very resilient. Parents work to create an environment that fosters buoyancy. Teamwork is a must. Therapy during or after the divorce can help parents make the successful transition from married parents to divorced co-parents.
