In my practice, I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and groups wanting to make changes in the way they feel or interact with others. I use my training and experience in psychotherapy to help people understand themselves better and rediscover their strengths to make progress in their daily lives.
I grew up in a bilingual and bicultural home. From a young age I was aware that each of us, whatever our background, has a unique experience of the world. This experience of differences can enrich our lives, but can also be isolating. This awareness sparked my interest in psychology and continues to guide my work.
I have been in independent practice since 2002. Licensed as a Psychologist in Texas, I completed my Doctor of Psychology degree in 1997 at Florida Institute of Technology, including a pre-doctoral internship at the Counseling Center at the University of Florida. Throughout my career I have worked with individuals and groups ranging from elementary school children to seniors in nursing homes.
Despite differences in concerns, I help clients connect with their unique strengths. When clients understand how to apply those strengths in new ways, they can make the changes they want in their lives.
Bilingual and bicultural, I provide all of the above-mentioned services in Spanish… En Espaňol.
